New Member, Juliet Thomas, who runs a multi-passionate small business called The Curious Creative Club, was featured in Prima Magazine last month in an article all about the rise of popularity of She Sheds during lockdown. Juliet and her husband Mark, built what Juliet likes to call The Curious Cabin last September, not only as a lockdown project, but also as a reward for getting through a tough 6 months of chemo treatment, following being diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in November 2019.
The project was a positive focus as she recovered and is now her favourite place in her home!. Juliet decorated the inside to reflect her creative personality and passions and as a creative Blogger, documented the design choices too which you can find here. She now regularly craves 'cabin' time where she writes her Blog and book, creates new art designs that she sells locally and plans her creative writing class prompts and local accountability membership sessions, called WOW Wednesdays.
Juliet thoroughly enjoyed the photo shoot, with fellow chamber member Claire Wood, and even her mischievous cockapoo Barley, managed to stay still long enough to be captured! Juliet's mission within her small business is to encourage people to experiment and live a more creatively enriched life, to reap the wellbeing rewards that partaking in creative activities can bring.
