Move for Growth

HAD-Print and HAD-IT have moved to Shaw Lodge Mills a historic traditional Yorkshire Textile Mill, in Halifax. The new unit is within the old Mending Rooms, with glorious natural light flooding in, and beautiful views across the Hebble valley.

The move has created the opportunity to streamline the production flow, create much valuable room for the increasing demand of print, fulfil and mail work which is providing a new channel for the business. Previously we found ourselves operating on top of different projects. Designing a workspace which creates a coherent approach was at the heart of what we wanted to achieve.

The planning and implementation of this relocation was key. Doing a property search during the first Covid-19 lockdown was challenging, completing the preparations of the new unit in a Covid-19 compliant equally challenging.HAD-Print / HAD-IT were fortunate to be able to complete the relocation, just as the country entered into second Lockdown. Everyone involved in the project has had an immense sense of satisfaction achieving what we have under the working conditions.

Operations Director Stuart Nimmo said, "Since starting three years ago, the business has changed and evolved significantly, the operational needs and creating the potential for further growth was at the forefront of our minds when looking at the relocation. Shaw Lodge Mills provides a vibrant location with a diverse range of businesses, we are looking forward to growing there".

Already in casual conversation, the number of local referral projects we’ve gained access to is encouraging, proving the scope for developing the business in our new Halifax location is encouraging.

HAD-Print / HAD-IT was previously based in Outcote Bank, Huddersfield.
