18 March 2020 - The Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce responds to Coronavirus business support measures

Responding to the Government’s announcement of a £330bn support package for businesses, Martin Hathaway, Managing Director of the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce comments:

“Following yesterday’s announcement, the Government has been clear that it will do whatever it takes over the coming weeks to support businesses, but there are still many unanswered questions about how access to grants and loans can be gained.

“Our primary challenge is to learn how businesses can gain access to these funds in the short term. We are working closely with the local authorities to ensure that businesses in the Mid Yorkshire region, throughout the districts of Halifax, Huddersfield and Wakefield, get the support they need during this unprecedented time and we will update members accordingly with any new information.

“If there are any specific queries or concerns that you’d like to discuss in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact a member of our team.”
