Safety barrier manufacturer and exporter, A-SAFE, has made the Sunday Times International Track 200 League for the third year running. After achieving 41.26% average international sales growth over two years, the company attained 133rd place.
The International Track 200 ranks mid-market companies with the fastest-growing international sales. A-SAFE has been recognised by the Sunday Times for export excellence six years in a row. The company made the Track 200 League previously in 2019 and 2018, as well as the Export Track 100 for SMEs in 2017, 2016 and 2015.
The 200 selected companies include a host of well-known British brands such as Gymshark, Granada Material Handling and BrewDog.
Amanda Murphy, Head of Commercial Banking at HSBC UK said, "The Sunday Times International Track 200 shows the strength, ambition and resilience of companies across the UK and we are delighted to be sponsoring again this year. At HSBC UK, we take great pride in recognising the contribution these businesses are making to driving growth across the UK.”
The company’s placement in the league table comes at an exciting time. A-SAFE is undergoing substantial growth and is expanding its site in Elland, West Yorkshire, in order to increase manufacturing capacity.
James Smith, Co-owner and Director of A-SAFE said,“We are thrilled to make the International Track 200 League for the third year running. It’s an extremely exciting time at A-SAFE and we are investing heavily in the company’s growth to meet the increase in demand for our safety systems. 2019 was a great year at A-SAFE. We introduced three new products to the market, which have all been received with great enthusiasm from our customers and prospects. We’re very much looking forward to the year ahead.”
A-SAFE is the global leader in polymer safety systems. In 2001, the company invented the world’s first industrial strength polymer safety barrier, transforming workplace safety. Since then, it has continued to develop and engineer world-class safety products at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the Elland, UK. A-SAFE barriers are produced from Memaplex™, a unique material with in-built memory to provide unrivalled strength, flexibility and impact-resilience. Barriers shield critical structures and assets, define walkways and vehicle routes; they also offer physical protection against wayward vehicles.
In 2017, A-SAFE worked with the British Standards Institution to sponsor and author PAS 13 – the first and only Code of Practice for safety barriers used in workplace environments. PAS 13 contains best practice traffic management procedures to reduce the risk of accidents, as well as guidelines for assessing the impact-resilience of barriers to ensure they are fit for purpose.
With over 35 years of industry experience and offices in 15 countries across five continents, A-SAFE is trusted by some of the world’s best-known brands, including Nestle, Jaguar Land Rover and Amazon.
