Employment and Immigration Law - what employers need to know

Published 31st Jan 2020 by Shaida Khan

Eaton Smith Solicitors and immigration law specialists, My UK Visa, have joined forces to host a seminar that will provide insight into employment and immigration law for employers.

Both companies have run successful seminars before, and this time they wanted to answer many of the questions they have been asked about how Brexit will affect the employment of foreign workers.

Speaking at the seminar is Arta Heath, who has more than 20 years’ experience in advising clients on all matters relating to immigration law. The UK’s departure from the European Union will have a profound effect on businesses and Arta is working with her clients to help them to continue to recruit and retain the best staff. Arta will share her knowledge of the EU settlement scheme and immigration law post-Brexit.

Employment lawyer, Irina Polyakova, is also speaking at the event, and will use her 10 years’ experience in advising businesses to share how employee relations pitfalls can be avoided and discuss what strategies should put in place to avoid claims of harassment in the workplace.

Irina Polyakova commented “We combined these topics because both Brexit and harassment are making headline news. We wanted to answer the frequently asked questions around the effect Brexit will have on employing foreign workers and ease the pressure on businesses. Harassment in the workplace is also very topical with some very high-profile cases being documented so we will be offering advice on how business owners can prevent this from happening in their workplace.”

The event will be held at 8.30am on 26th February. To book your place email
