Schofield Sweeney have acted for Yorkshire-based property company YPP in their latest acquisition.

YPP Lettings has acquired 23 Butts Court, an office building in Leeds city centre, on behalf of its clients for an undisclosed sum.

Represented by Cushman & Wakefield, they acquired the building from David Samuel Properties, who were represented by Buchanan Bond and S.C. Associates. Schofield Sweeney acted for YPP on the purchase.

23 Butts Court is made up of two adjoining period buildings with separate ground floor retail accommodation and open plan office accommodation set over three floors. It is located in the prime commercial area of the city.

The entire building, currently let to Leeds Building Society, has recently been refurbished to a very high standard.

Farooq Zar, Partner in Schofield Sweeney’s commercial property team, said: “On behalf of the firm, I am delighted to have acted for YPP in the purchase of 23 Butts Court. YPP are a growing firm, now with over 40 properties in the north of England. In particular, this building is in an ideal location and offers fantastic opportunities in the future, with potential for re-letting and conversion for hotel or residential use.”
