The Piece Hall keeps it local

Since reopening in August 2017 The Piece Hall has proven to be a champion of local business and they have continued this theme by teaming up with Halifax insurance broker Wilby Ltd.

Wilby were delighted to have the opportunity to work with The Piece Hall Trust to put in place the cover required by such a popular venue. A glowing reference from long-standing local client EUREKA! The National Children's Museum as to the service they receive from Wilby proved invaluable in gaining The Piece Hall's Trust in the first instance.

Nicky Chance-Thompson, Chief Executive for The Piece Hall Trust commented “With more than 2.5 million footfall in the first year at The Piece Hall it is clearly crucial that, with the building being used and visited so frequently, we have the correct insurance in place to protect both The Piece Hall Trust, our tenants and the public who use the space.

We chose to engage with Wilby as they have shown a keen interest in our project since we reopened and we have the confidence that they could deliver the right cover and support we need. Throughout the process Wilby listened to our needs and delivered the right solution for us at the right cost.”

Wilby Managing Director, Richard Blackburn, added “The opportunity to work with such a prestigious attraction in our own town was obviously one we jumped at! We were able to look at their current arrangements and advise on improvements to both cover and cost. We look forward to providing the support The Piece Hall will need as it continues to grow.”

Wilby Ltd is based in Halifax town centre, they arrange insurance for more than 1,000 local business and employ more than 80 staff. This year they have also been shortlisted for two UK Broker Awards, with the results being announced in September.
