Wilby and Town celebrate a decade of partnership

Published 29th Oct 2018 by Shaida Khan

Wilby first joined Town as a Club Partner back in 2008, with the company’s logo adorning the back of the home shirt. 10 years and two promotions later and both HTAFC and Wilby have gone from strength to strength.

That has now seen the Halifax-based Wilby Limited continue its commercial partnership with the Club for the 10th year in a row.

Founded in 1984, Wilby is a chartered insurance broker based in Halifax specialising in commercial insurance and risk management solutions for businesses and private individuals. They provide cover for more than 2,000 businesses across Yorkshire from manufacturing to retail. Key areas of specialty are in the commercial insurance for caravan dealers and parks and care (children’s and social care, hospices and shelters) sectors, plus motorcycle dealers and construction.

The business has also been recognised over the years for its expertise with several wins at the British Insurance Awards and UK Broker Awards. In September this year Wilby was named Cyber Broker of the Year for their work educating businesses about the availability and benefits of Cyber Insurance.

Wilby is a part of PIB Group PIB group of specialist insurance advisory businesses.

Richard Blackburn, Managing Director at Wilby commented:

“We’re once again delighted to continue our long running partnership with Huddersfield Town.

“We’re proud to be part of the Huddersfield Hundred and look forward to continuing to grow our fantastic relationships with the other partners.”

Sean Jarvis, Commercial Director at Huddersfield Town added:

“Wilby is very much part of the DNA of the Huddersfield Hundred and one just a couple of partners who have been part of the Huddersfield Hundred the longest.

“I am delighted Richard and the team have continued their support for the Club and I’m looking forward to working with them.”
