Solicitors firm Chadwick Lawrence has appointed card payment specialist Yorkshire Payments to improve the speed and performance of its payment operations across the business as part of an IT overhaul.

Yorkshire Payments, based in Brighouse, has implemented its virtual payment system – known as YorkshirePay – to streamline the payment process for the firm’s clients and allow staff quicker access to documents and reports.

Commenting on the project, Yorkshire Payments managing director, James Howard, said:

“YorkshirePay allows users to access important documents and update reports quickly and easily.

“This saves the finance department at Chadwick Lawrence time and resource which can be put to better use in other areas of the business.”

Daniel Krigers, partner at Chadwick Lawrence, added:

“Our finance department had inherited an outdated payment system. Since implementing YorkshirePay, we have significantly improved the speed at which we handle customer payments and financial information has improved dramatically.

“We can now spend more time on working on clients’ legal matters and delivering the service they approached us for.”

Over the last year, Yorkshire Payments has transacted a record £470million through its payment systems. The firm now services over 3,000 clients across Yorkshire and is on track to increase this to more than 3,500 by the end of 2018.
