Calderdale lawyer James Bell is swapping his suit for boots in a marathon distance trek to raise funds for The Alzheimer’s Society.
James, who works for solicitors Wilkinson Woodward, is taking part in Trek 26, a gruelling 26 mile walk along the ancient Roman paths of Hadrian’s Wall.
The event, which takes place on 12 August, is the latest charity challenge for James, who is based at Wilkinson Woodward’s offices in Halifax. A keen runner, Mr Bell can often be spotted pounding the pavements of Calderdale or taking part in punishing charity runs.
The plucky solicitor, who specialises in commercial law and commercial property law, hopes to raise hundreds of pounds for The Alzheimer’s Society.
James, who lives in Hipperholme, said,
“I’m always up for a challenge and The Alzheimer’s Society is a great cause to support. I’ve done a lot of walking in the glorious Calderdale countryside over the years, which should stand me in good stead for the Hadrian’s Wall challenge.”
