West Yorkshire entrepreneurs create revolutionary online video marketplace

Published 28th Jul 2016 by Rebecca Walker

Three entrepreneurs from Huddersfield and Halifax have joined forces to create a unique and innovative online marketplace. Launching on Thursday 28th July, it’s set to help millions of businesses promote their products and services at a fraction of the cost currently charged by video production companies.

The revolutionary digital video marketplace, Right Now Video, is the brainchild of Janet Bebb, from social media marketing trainers and consultancy, Social Progess; Adam Welsh from web development & marketing & agency Fallen Leaf Design and Darren Cox from video marketing specialists Liquid Lens. The idea for www.rightnowvideo.com came after Janet purchased a Christmas Video Card in December 2015 from Liquid Lens.

Janet explains her reasons for using a Video Christmas Card instead of a more traditional form of seasonal greetings: “As our business operates digitally online. I wanted something that was easy to create, fun, creative and visual that I could use on our website and across all our social media channels. The video that Darren personalised was perfect for wishing all our friends and contacts ‘Seasons Greetings’. This got me thinking, ‘what about the rest of the year and other occasions that video could be used to promote businesses online’.”

Janet, Darren and Adam are now working together bringing their own area of expertise to make sure the new online video market place offers businesses a great way of promoting themselves, engaging with new customers and developing relationships with existing customers.

Darren from Liquid Lens explains: “At the moment the business world has two choices: hire a video production company to create a video, which can work out expensive as each video needs to be created from scratch; or create your own video which for small businesses can be very time consuming and complicated. The end result is not always a ‘polished’ product which can put customers off or harm your reputation.”

With a full range of videos to choose from, Adam Welsh, who created the website for www.rightnowvideo.com says: “The Right Now Video suite of videos are suitable for every type of business – from Accountants to Zoo Keepers, Wedding Planners to Builders. We’re creating new videos all the time. We’ve made it simple for anyone to purchase their very own branded video in minutes. Each video can be personalised with the business’s own colours, logo and messages, creating simple and affordable videos for under a hundred pounds”.

As the Right Now Video website explains, video marketing is taking the world by storm with 80% of sales converted when a video is included in the buying process. 90% of end users say that video helped them with their choice of purchase and 79% of customers remember a video they saw in the last 30 days.

Janet went on to explain that according to the Dept of Business, Innovation & Skills there are a record 5.4 million private sector businesses at the start of 2015 an increase of 146,000 since 2014 and 1.9 million more since 2000. Small businesses account for 99.3% of all private sector businesses with 99.9% being small or medium sized (under 49 staff) with a combined annual turnover of £1.8 trillion, 47% of all private sector turnover in the UK. And it’s predicted that this sector is set to grow even higher.
