On Monday 11th July members from the Giants will be shedding their hoops and donning aprons as they prepare to serve up some delicious Nando’s chicken in aid of the Huddersfield Community Trust.
This one-of-a-kind event will run from 6pm until 7:30pm at the newly refurbished Nando’s Huddersfield, where guests will have the chance to tuck into their favourite dish, while meeting the stars of the Huddersfield Giants.
Jonathan Timms, Head of Community Development at Huddersfied Giants Community Trust commented:
“After a really successful event last year, the Nando’s takeover is back by popular demand. The players are really looking forward to it and love any excuse to interact with fans. The event is a fantastic opportunity to bring the Giants together with their fans for the benefit of the wider community.”
Tickets are £15 and £7.50 for under-10s and will include a meal from the set menu. Please note that drinks are not included in this price and can be purchased separately. There will also be a raffle held on the evening giving guests the chance to win various prizes including a match worn Giants shirt signed by Danny Brough.
There are only 40 places available, so be sure to book soon to avoid disappointment. For tickets and more information, please visit https://giants-nandos-takeover.eventbrite.co.uk
All profits from the event will go directly to Huddersfield Community Trust to support their ongoing projects. The Huddersfield Community Trust was established to improve the wellbeing and fitness of the people of Kirklees by actively tackling obesity, encouraging community cohesion and raising aspirations.
Lisa Hewitt, CEO of Huddersfield Community Trust commented:
“We are really looking forward to the event and would like to thank the team for donating their time to support our cause. It should be a really great evening and we hope to welcome Giants fans and chicken lovers alike and make them aware of our purpose as a charity and what we have to offer Kirklees.”
