New start-up and member Castle Communication Services, delivers training and interpretation provision for companies in Yorkshire to build the confidence of their staff who interact with Deaf customers.
Set up by a daughter and mother team, Rachel and Colleen Hardcastle know only too well the challenges faced in daily life and business situations by the Deaf community. Rachel, who is profoundly Deaf, delivers awareness training from her first-hand professional experience.
“Deaf people struggle with day to day life, it can be intimidating when visiting job centres, GP’s, hospitals, retail outlets, restaurants and hotels. By boosting staff confidence in their interactions with the Deaf community, it puts people at ease and gives them a more positive experience. Our motto of "Confident Staff, Happy Customers" is at the core of all our training services."
Understanding that with staff confidence comes improved customer service, member Castle Communication Services provides a range of provisions to improve awareness of the challenges Deaf people may have in a work environment, and to develop staff communication skills. From specialist note takers for important meetings where British Sign Language Interpreters may be needed, to full-length courses in British Sign Language, Castle Communication Services covers every aspect of requirements Deaf people have in business and customer experience scenarios.
Rachel and Colleen hope to generate positive, on-going connections with local organisations/businesses in Yorkshire, to encourage the widespread uptake of essential communications training in all business areas. By developing a positive attitude to inclusive communications strategies. Castle Communication Services hopes to not only improve the customer experience of many outlets, but also improve employment opportunities for Deaf and hard of hearing people within the community.
Training and interpretation services are provided by Rachel and Colleen on a unique basis, tailored to the specific needs of each business. For more details, call 07915157317 or visit www.castlecommunicationservices.co.uk.
