Slow Broadband? Get a Superfast £3000 Grant

Published 1st Jan 2015 by Rebecca Walker

In areas of Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield businesses can apply for a Broadband Connection Voucher, which is a grant of up to £3,000 for small or medium sized businesses to upgrade to a faster, more reliable internet connection.

The grant pays for the installation costs – that is the capital and equipment costs of upgrading your broadband connection. You pay any VAT charged and the monthly line rental to your service provider. Monthly costs vary depending on the package, but half of businesses pay £40 per month or less.

If you aren’t sure what kind of broadband connection you should choose for your upgrade, check the guide on the Superfast West Yorkshire website which explains the options to find out what’s best for your business. With faster, better broadband, you can:

  • Grow and access new markets through better communication with customers
  • Increase security through fast secure back-up of data
  • Increase productivity while attracting andretaining the best staff
  • Improve customer service by sending or uploading large files faster
  • Increase your bottom line by improving your customer satisfaction
  • Future proof your business for the digital challenges of tomorrow

To apply for a broadband grant before the closing date of 31st March 2015, you must be a small or medium sized business, or registered charity or sole trader. In Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield, grants are available at specific locations, such as most business parks and industrial estates.

Call the team on 0113 3950357 or visit the website to find out if your area is covered.
