The beloved Michael Steer Deputy Head Teacher and Math’s Teacher of Thornhill Community Academy in Dewsbury will join Kirklees’ finest at Kirklees Business Week. He will take part as a State of the District Panel member, giving his view on the state of education in Kirklees.

Delegates can join Michael at Kirklees Business Conference on the 15th October at John Smith’s Stadium, Huddersfield for free; where he’ll contribute to the panel alongside John Shinwell; Managing Director at Continental Wine & Food Ltd, David Parkin; The Business Desk Yorkshire and Andrew Hobson; Fantastic Media.

Michael Steer commented: “As a school, we are committed to the ethos of ‘educating the whole child’ and preparing students for life after education. This is why it is vital that we have solid links with business and a deep and mutual understanding of the skills and attributes employers are looking for. This can be integrated into the curriculum diet of all young people, to give them the best possible foundation for their transition from classroom to workplace.”
