Wakefield Business Week principal partner announced

Published 12th Mar 2014 by Rebecca Walker

The principal partner for the second annual Wakefield Business Week (#WBW14) has been announced as local solicitor and Chamber member, Chadwick Lawrence.

Now branded MY Conferences,  in partnership with founder Danny Matharu, we are promising the former Yorkshire Business Conferences will return bigger, better and even more inclusive to Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale.

Monday 2nd June sees the start of the second #WBW14, an 'open source' business week, full of sector specific seminars all run by different businesses and free to all.

The principle of #WBW14 is to provide a platform for Wakefield businesses to share their knowledge across the district spread across the week in a manner that is convenient for all sectors of business in Wakefield. All venues will be supplied free and all event delegate places will be free.

Jeremy Garside of Chadwick Lawrence said: "Chadwick Lawrence is pleased to again pledge support to Wakefield Business Week. This second business week will offer support and an opportunity to local organisations promoting Wakefield as the place to do business. It provides an excellent free platform for businesses to discuss ideas and collaborate to ultimately strengthen the Wakefield business community."

Executive Director of the Chamber, Andrew Choi concluded, “Thanks to the Wakefield Business Week partners, we'll assist in supplying event organisers with a venue for free. We’ll also help in promoting the events through the Wakefield Business Week website, emails and PR and in the Wakefield Business Week specific supplement, to be published in the Wakefield Express prior to the Week. All events are welcome; they will be listed on the website and will continue to be added right up until May.

“All we ask is that events are sector specific and not general networking events. Alongside this we ask that event organisers market their event to their network. Wakefield Business Week is all about sharing knowledge, not selling services.”

Businesses wanting to submit their event or exhibit at the conference, should visit the #WBW14 website or contact the conferences team on 01924 311 606 but do so with haste as more than 30 event requests have been made for the week, with more than half of exhibition spaces sold for the conference!
