Lend a local school a hand

Published 11th Mar 2014 by Rebecca Greenhough

Ravenscliffe High School and Sports College have finally received some long awaited news - they have permission to develop a trackside building for use by the school and the local community.

Ravenscliffe High School and Sports College is the only secondary school for special needs in Calderdale that provides education for pupils. The development of the new sixth form building Spring Hall is to enable the double capacity school to offer further support their students, in personal development, employment and independence. However to provide the facilities needed, they're looking for a little help from local businesses.

As a local business can you provide any practical support, assist in publicising their intentions, offer advice and guidance as they look to move forward, donate materials that will offset some of the building costs or simply pick up a brush and help decorate?

Businesses can also adopt Friends of Ravenscliffe as a charity of the year. Alternatively there is the option to “Buy a Brick”, which will guarantee your name appears on a piece of bespoke artwork to be displayed in the entrance hall when the building is finished.

Every little helps so please send a tweet or pick up a brush and help a local school in need. View the latest school newsletter regarding Spring Hall, visit their website and follow @RavenscliffeHS on Twitter for more information.
