Analyst brings IT and business skills back to Yorkshire

Published 17th Mar 2014 by Rebecca Walker

After spending 20 years in London managing multi-million pound projects for high-profile clients including JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and the Bank of England, Halifax born Simon Martin has relocated back and in January 2013 set up Capable IT Consulting Ltd.

Simon explained: "I have a strong vision to help local enterprises and expanding companies in the region and as an expert in business analysis, I can act as a bridge between growing businesses and technology firms to ensure that IT projects deliver exactly what companies need from them. Skilled business analysis is often seen as the preserve of very large companies. Capable aim to make that expertise available and affordable to firms across Calderdale and the M62 Corridor."

"As a Halifax lad it’s very exciting to be able to play a small part in the regeneration of the area and to contribute to the continuing success of growing local companies", he added.

Simon’s mentor, Andy Lee commented: "It’s been great to help someone set up a business and very rewarding. Plus, I’m sure that Simon has a very successful future ahead and it’s been great to be part of that from the start."
