Huddersfield Town Foundation reaches landmark

Published 11th Feb 2014 by Rebecca Walker

Registered charity and member The Huddersfield Town Foundation has reached a fantastic landmark this month – having served up over 80,000 nutritious breakfasts through their ‘Early Kick-Off’ initiative.

The charity aims to improve the life of young children in the local area by providing them with a healthy breakfast each morning.

Following the launch of the Town Foundation in July 2012, there are now 14 breakfast clubs across Kirklees including Hillside Primary, which the we have supported, here at the Chamber,  for two years in succession

Every morning the breakfast clubs can serve up to 1,000 nutritious meals to ensure that the children start their day in the correct manner, which fits perfectly with the charity’s mission to ‘make the difference’ in the local area, and this month have reached the landmark of 80,000 breakfasts through the scheme.
