Get access to funding through Wakefield College

Published 14th Jan 2014 by Rebecca Greenhough

Wakefield College currently has access to funding aiming to support employers throughout the Yorkshire and Humber region.

The funding is available through a European Social Fund (ESF) initiative, aiming to support employers in delivering free training and support, and bespoke interventions to achieve a range of benefits for businesses:

  •  Up-skill and professional development opportunities
  • Increase employability, workforce competencies and transferable skills
  • Support and facilitate career progression, increase current workforce career aspirations and progression routes
  • Reduce skills gaps, addressing and tackling individual barriers to learning
  • Assist the facilitation of successful succession planning
  • Harnessing the expertise of the workforce to mentor and support new employees

Individuals must be employed within a company with fewer than 1000 employees be aged 19+ and the employers must be based within the Yorkshire and Humber region.

Training must be non-mandatory and accredited training can be delivered at Level 2 and Level 3. For micro-businesses with up to 49 employees, training can also be delivered at Level 4.

Wakefield College believes there will be something for every Employer within the Region and would like the opportunity to talk to Employers about the funding opportunities.
