Wakefield based member company The Dr Jackson Cancer Fund are holding a charity concert to raise vital funds for their work.
The fund was first set up in 1977 and has raised more than £1 million to help provide better and faster cancer treatment for patients, treated at the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust (MYHT).
They work tirelessly to promote research, improve the local treatment of cancer patients and to fund raise for MYHT for medical and surgical equipment.
To this date Dr Jackson’s has raised money for the celebration of the £50,000 donation to cover the cost of equipment for the Combined Scoping Unit at Pontefract Hospital in 2010.
They also raised £79,000 for a Multidisciplinary meeting room with state of the art video conferencing and IT facilities for clinicians at Pinderfields Hospital.
Their current campaign is to support the development of Oncology services at MYHT Dr Jackson’s upcoming event, a Charity Concert.
