Get Your People Management Sorted in 60 Minutes

Published 19th Nov 2013 by Rebecca Greenhough

We're holding our first MY Chamber HR session on recruitment and selection on Thursday 28th November from 8.30am at our Huddersfield offices.

Chamber HR which was launched this summer offers members free seminars, free surgeries, online ‘how-to’ guides, access to a free HR health check (worth £75) and an online ‘ask a question’ facility. Seminars are also accessible to non members at just £5.00 and include breakfast and half an hours networking before the session commences 9-10am.

Chamber HR is delivered by two of the region’s leading HR specialists and Chamber members; Organic HR and Pennine Business Partners, utilising the Chamber HR package will ensure that businesses receive local and tailored advice and support when it’s needed most.

With the average cost of filling a vacancy in the UK expected to cost businesses around £5,000, the first seminar on recruitment and selection will offer practical tips to ensure you get it right first time.

Spencer Lord of Halifax based Organic HR told us "The seminars will provide practical guidance on tackling some of the more common people management issues, looking to dispel some myths and build confidence on the way."

Lynn Bradley of Huddersfield based Pennine Business Partners added "The bottom line is that HR is about managing people well. It’s about bringing the right people into the business in the first place and then making sure there is a good relationship between employer and employee while they are working for you."
