Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice will hold their ‘Wish Upon Your Star’ concert from 4:30pm on Saturday 7th December, an event to capture the spirit of Christmas whilst raising funds to help provide care for local children and families his festive season.
Forget Me Not Children's Hospice is a Kirklees based Chamber member and charity, supporting children with life threatening illnesses and their families across Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield.
The charities concert is free to attend, however attendees will be encouraged to make a donation to the charity, in exchange for a ‘wish upon your star’ tree decoration. A personal wish is made on the star and can then be hung on their tree at home, given to a loved one, or displayed on a tree in one of our 10 stores across West Yorkshire.
Sam Wood, Senior Community Fundraiser at the charity said: “We are really looking forward to the concert, it will be a fantastic event with carolling for the whole family to get involved with.”
There will be performances from Hebden Bridge Junior Band, festive singing from The Community Gospel Choir and a special visit from Mickey and Minnie Mouse and Father Christmas himself.
The event will last no longer than an hour and refreshments will be available afterwards. If you would like further information on the concert or the Wish Upon Your Star campaign visit the website or call 01484 411040.
