There's still time to book your place on MY Export Hub's Latvia Trade Mission, in partnership with Alfran


The Trade Mission will take place from 15th - 19th October, all are welcome to experience what Latvia has to offer your business.

The visit will coincide with the Energy & Environmental exhibition in Riga and also with an International Business Networking conference plus companies will benefit from pre-arranged tailored business meetings. Latvia is one of the Baltic countries and is known as the gateway between Europe and CIS.

It is one of the fastest growing economies in the EU in 2012 – GDP growth of 5.5% and UK exports to Latvia rose by 39% in 2011 – which gives a flavour of the opportunity for Yorkshire business in this Baltic country.

The capital city, Riga, is the largest city in the Baltic States and it is a beautiful and cultural destination to add to the pleasure of doing business in Latvia.

There are a wealth of opportunities in Latvia:

Educational ICT and skills – updating of IT infrastructure and increased interest in both educational equipment as well as contemporary education means (software, e-programmes etc).

Infrastructure - development of airports, transit development through ports and other links, modernisation of rail transport system, development of the state road traffic networks.

Engineering – Areas of opportunities in plasma cutting processes for metal production, galvanisation, thermal treatment of surfaces and manufacturing for press forms for the plastics industry and many others.

Timber and timber processing – Latvia has one of the richest forest resources in Europe, covering 44 per cent of the country.
