Mocks & Sons founder announced as Kirklees Business Conference speaker

Published 26th Sep 2013 by Rebecca Walker

Mocks and Sons founder Jonathan Hirst has been announced as a speaker for Kirklees Business Conference.

Jonathan is the founder of Mocks & Sons, a now worldwide brand in innovative fashion footwear. Mocks is based in Fixby and in the next couple of months the mainline brand will also launch in South Africa, Saudi Arabia and the Philippines through local distributors.

Mocks & Sons has also linked up with a distributor in the US and will start selling its full range there from spring 2014. They have 50 independent stockists in the UK as well as in footwear multiples such as Schuh, Office and Soletrader.

Jonathan set up a consultancy company based in Huddersfield and worked with companies such as Tesco, Next, Marks & Spencer and River Island advising the product development and buying functions, whilst continuing to travel the globe sourcing clothing from several continents.

In 2010 he started Mocks, a shoe brand with a unique product and offer, which has grown to a global audience, trading in countries as far afield as Korea and Nigeria. Mocks recently entered into a global licensing agreement with a huge retail group plan to expand into new territories and launch kids’ footwear – all within the next year.

He will speak at the event alongside a range of other seminars and Q & A sessions. Kirklees Business Conference is the main conference event of Kirklees Business Week and will take place on 16th October at The John Smith's Stadium. The conference will consist of a full programme of business specific seminars and networking opportunities.
