Wakefield Hospice To Hold Charity Golf Day

Published 20th Aug 2013 by Rebecca Walker

A charity golf day is being held to help raise funds for member Wakefield Hospice, a charity committed to providing the highest level of symptom management and care for people who have advanced active, progressive and life threatening illness.

The Hospice is holding a golf day to raise vital funds and all are welcome! It is looking for teams of four to enter the shotgun start competition, being held in Ossett on Friday 27th September.

The event will be held at Low Laithes, a parkland course with tight fairways and fast greens which provide a challenge and true test to golfers of all abilities. A buffet and prize giving will be held at the clubhouse after the tournament with prizes for the winning teams and individual prizes will be awarded for
the best stableford score and nearest the pins.

Event Fundraiser, Keeley Harrison said "We would like to thank our event sponsor Lofthouse Gate Limited
for their generous support of the golf day. We welcome corporate teams and teams made up of individuals, so whether you wish to entertain clients or get together with a
few friends, you’re sure to enjoy a great afternoon of golf and help to raise funds for the hospice."

The cost of the golf day is £250 which includes golf for a team of four and prize presentation buffet.
