First 2013 Annual Dinner Speaker Announced

Published 13th Aug 2013 by Rebecca Walker

We're excited to announce the first speaker of our 2013 Annual Dinner as BBC Look North presenter, Clare Frisby.

Clare is most well known as appearing on BBC Look North every weekday. She also joined the BBC One Politics Show in 2007. Prior to this, Clare spent 4 years in local radio at BBC Radio York, reporting during the Gulf war, before moving to Look North in Leeds as a presenter. She joined the BBC as a news trainee, after reading Politics at Hull University. During her time with Look North, she has won BT News Broadcaster of the Year award for the North East and Yorkshire region, in 1998.

Our Chief Executive Director Andrew Choi said of the choice of Clare;

"We’re happy to announce Clare Frisby as the Compere of our Annual Dinner. Clare is the face of our local news channel, a local celebrity and honorary Yorkshire lass. She was keen to take the place as Compere and witness what we’re sure will be another fantastic MY Chamber Annual Dinner and we’re very excited to have her attend alongside an exciting line up of speakers which will be announced shortly!"

Last year the Annual Dinner was attended by almost two hundred local business people in an Olympic themed evening following the successful sporting year for team GB and most impressively team Yorkshire!

Our Annual Dinner will be held on Thursday 17th October 2013 from 6.30pm with the theme ‘Enterprise’.

It will be the key evening dinner within Kirklees Business Week, with Kirklees Business Conference held on Wednesday 16th October at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Tickets are £50.00 to members and £65.00 to non members book now to avoid disappointment!
