FSB and the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce to boost local business in second joint tradeshow

Published 26th Mar 2013 by Rebecca Walker

The Federation of Small Businesses and the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce have joined together to host the second Chamber-FSB Trade Show in support of local businesses.

Member companies of each organisation are invited to promote themselves by exhibiting at the trade show which will be held at Cedar Court, Ainley Top Tuesday 11th June 2013 at 3.00 - 7.30pm.

Andrew Choi, Executive Director for the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce explained “We received some great feedback from last years Trade Show and after another tough year in business it is probably even more important to promote our members and give a boost to the local economy by demonstrating what local companies have to offer.”

Neil Kendall, Chairman of the Calderdale branch of the FSB observed “The recession has seen businesses cutting their marketing budget and spending money on activity that is low risk and will deliver a good return on investment. The partnership is proud to host one of the most affordable trade exhibitions within the region, with stands charged at just £55.”

Furthermore, potential customers are invited to attend and view the exhibition free of charge.

No more than 2 of each business sector are invited to exhibit and places are allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

To exhibit, an expression of interest must be made by 30th April. If successful, an online booking facility will be opened and you’ll be invited to book online. Click here for more information on booking.

Kath Thornton, Sales Director, local business advisers Business Doctors told of last year’s event "The Trade Show has been at least as good for us, if not better than, a similar event we attended recently costing 40 times the price! We've had the opportunity to catch up with some important local contacts and fully expect to be doing some good business as a result".

Visitors of the Chamber-FSB Trade Show 2013 can also gain inspiration and ideas from renowned keynote business speakers, the nationally recognised business woman Kate Hardcastle and Michael Bell, President of the Huddersfield District Society of Chartered Accountants in 2013. Michael will be helping attendees to ‘De-mystify a business plan’ at 4.45pm whilst Kate Hardcastle from Insight with Passion will be talking ‘Customer at the heart’ at 6.15pm.

It is free to attend the trade show and businesses and residents alike are invited to come and see what we can offer and are able to take advantage of special promotions offered by businesses exhibiting on the day.
