Quarterly Economic Survey Q1 2013

Published 13th Feb 2013 by Samuel Lewis

Mid Yorkshire Chamber Invites Responses to our 1st Quarter Survey

Last year proved to be disappointing for businesses, both in Mid Yorkshire and across the UK. While there was a small upturn in the official figures in the third quarter of 2012, our own surveys indicated confidence consistently flat throughout the year. As ever, we hope that confidence will return, and that business activity will pick up and we will continue to lobby throughout the year for more favourable policy conditions.

At this time our economic surveys are more important than ever, and your input is essential. The Quarterly Economic Survey feeds into the national British Chambers survey and informs treasury and Government policy making. We are regularly quoted in the national press and in parliament and our findings are a respected barometer of business confidence and performance. Thanks to your support Mid Yorkshire Chamber consistently ranked in the top 5 of the national table of Chamber response rates throughout 2012.

Our survey for Quarter 1 2013 is now open and we invite all Mid Yorkshire companies to respond. The survey takes less than 4 minutes and is treated anonymously.
