Imagemaker creating a professional business image

Published 24th Dec 2012 by Rebecca Walker

John Dean and Scott Harvey are joint partners within their Milnsbridge based photography business, Imagemaker.

Recommended photographers for the Mid Yorkshire Chamber, the team of 6 have recently expanded since taking on an apprentice, Jenny and Georgia who works 1 day a week on a work placement.

Imagemaker began 9 years ago with Scott joining the business to drive a focus on schools last year. Scott told us “We do everything from studio family portraits, weddings and commercial photography but my particular focus is on teaching photography in schools which we have already successfully completed within local schools Birdsedge and Netherthong.” Scott explained how the school children benefit from photography and a variety of other skills developed through designing their own magazine.

John’s focus is on the commercial side of the business, and having expanded over the years, they are the people behind the camera for the Chamber’s professional photography, Eaton Smith’s Business of the Month and Ramsdens Solicitor’s, to name just a few.

John explained how the connection’s the Chamber provides adds real value to their business “The Chamber helps us communicate our business messages to a wide audience in a friendly, unpressurised way which is important to us as we aren’t a hard sales type of organisation.”

Imagemaker are taking advantage of Chamber benefits to publicise themselves further by utilising the new 'Member Offer of the Month' initiative this January and by holding a ’60 Useful Minutes’ seminar 5th February at their Milnsbridge offices on how to enhance your image in 60 minutes. The morning session is free to attend, includes free street parking and all attendees will benefit from a free professional photograph emailed to you to use as you like.
