Chamber Survey Measures Local Business Confidence

Published 13th Nov 2012 by Rebecca Walker

Chamber Invites Local Businesses to Respond

The Mid Yorkshire Chamber is undertaking its 4th Quarter survey into local business confidence and performance, a quarterly barometer that informs our lobbying agenda, as well as the policy outlook of The Bank of England and Government.

As no doubt you are aware, our Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) provides us with a unique insight into the grass-roots trends, issues and confidence levels of the business community in our region, and helps us to develop and refine our business policy agenda. The greater the participation, the more robust and useful the survey becomes, and we are gratified that our survey has recorded excellent response rates so far this year.

For this tremendous ongoing support we thank you most sincerely.

The British Chambers’ consolidated UK survey is frequently quoted in the national media and is highly valued by policymakers at The Bank of England and throughout Government. At a local level, our own Mid Yorkshire Chamber survey is used by many businesses, public bodies, Local Authorities and Leeds City Region (LCR) decision-makers as an essential and authoritative indicator of economic trends in our region.  The Mid Yorkshire survey, with the equivalent research from Bradford Chamber and Leeds, York and North Yorkshire Chamber is consolidated into a Quarterly City Region report.  The 3rd Quarter City Region report is attached below.

We recognise that time is a precious commodity - but this survey is worthwhile and highly influential, so it would be greatly appreciated if you could once again kindly spare around four minutes to complete our Survey for the final Quarter of 2012.
