Passport to Paris Home & Giftware Programme
Maison et Objet, 8 – 10th September 2012

A bespoke package of support to help you explore and make the most of the Maison et Objet 2012 trade show in Paris, France.



UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) in Yorkshire and the Humber would like to support the home and giftware industry to get the most out of visiting the Maison et Objet trade show in Paris by providing the Passport to Export mentoring package specifically tailored to meet the needs of newcomers to the Maison et Objet
experience.

What’s included?
The package includes a one day strategy workshop aimed at helping companies to shape their individual plans to create overseas interest and some invaluable contacts and publicity to prepare you for a visit to Maison et Objet in September 2012.

If your company is eligible to join the Passport to Paris programme then £1,000 of matched funding (50%) will be available to use against your Maison et Objet costs. This could be used towards your trade show entrance, flights, accommodation, subsistence, travel and marketing.

You will also have one to one support from a UKTI International Trade Adviser before, during and after the visit. The UKTI team in Paris will also be on hand to support, share their knowledge and advise companies prior to and during the visit.

What are the benefits?

Maison et Objet Strategy Workshop (3rd July, Barnsley)
This one day strategy workshop which is part of the Passport to Export programme is specifically aimed at Maison et Objet in Paris.

It will look at how companies have successfully used UKTI in the past, the various things to consider in looking for partnerships and opportunities overseas and your objectives in attending the trade show.

The workshop will include discussion with Sophie DeBodisco who is a Senior Trade Advisor for Creative, Digital & Media Industries in France and leads on the Maison et Objet Trade Show for the UKTI team in the British Embassy, Paris.

Maison et Objet, Research & Contacts (May – Aug 2012)
Sophie and her team will undertake market research for each delegate and provide you with a welcome pack and validated list of up to 12 contacts relevant to your company/product. Her team will also carry out publicity on the groups behalf and issue a press release prior to the trade show in September.

Maison et Objet Trade Show (8-10 Sept 2012, Paris)
There is plenty to see at the Maison et Objet trade show and in addition UKTI will organise a “Meet & Greet” presentation and networking event: sourcing and inviting potential partners and buyers to come and meet with the Yorkshire mission.

The cost of the briefing workshop, research and assistance is £750 + VAT per delegate.

NB. If companies are not eligible for Passport to Export they may apply for a Market Visit Support grant of £200 and will have to cover individual market research costs.
