Mid Yorkshire Chamber sponsors Wakefield District Business of the Year Award

Wakefield and District Business Awards

THE top businesses across Wakefield district are those that are able to flourish no matter what the financial environment throws at them. That's why it's particularly important to celebrate success at this moment in time.

And that's what we intend to do, for a second year, following on from the great success of 2011's inaugural Wakefield District Business Awards.

That's why the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce is once again sponsoring the Business of the Year Award at the Wakefield District Business Awards.  This award will go to an outstanding business that demonstrates all-round excellence and achievement.

The winning company must have delivered success, innovation and ethics within its sector, proving it is a market leader and worthy winner of this prestigious title.

Once again the event will be made possible by overall sponsors Chadwick Lawrence Solicitors, and we are asking you to nominate your company or your staff into one of the categories that are listed on this site.

There's something for everyone, whether it be small start-ups or industrial estate factories, and there are awards that span pure economic success through to helping the environment.

This year we are again asking for you to nominate a member of staff for Employee of the Year - the only category that will be voted for by readers of the Express.

Last year's entrants found out what a boost it was to be short-listed or to win one of these awards - this year it could be you.

The Wakefield District Business Awards will be held at The Cedar Court Hotel, Denby Dale Road, Wakefield.

And once again BBC Look North presenter Clare Frisby will be there to host the glittering occasion.

In challenging times, the companies and individuals with flexibility, imagination and determination are those that survive and succeed. And these are the very characteristics judges will be looking out for when they sit down to determine the winners of the Wakefield District Business Awards 2012.

We have a category to suit every individual and every enterprise driving our economy forward.
On the Category & Criteria section of this site we set out exactly what we are looking for in each of those categories.

Based on these criteria, you can make your nomination online here. You may nominate yourself or others. Professional advisers such as accountants, banks or solicitors are welcome to nominate their clients.

The closing date is Friday 18th May.

You can enter by filling in the form on this site or email your nominations to markbradley@wakefieldexpress.co.uk or write to Business Awards, Wakefield Express. Express House, Southgate, Wakefield, WF1 1TE

State clearly in your email or letter which company, organisation or person you are nominating and for which category, their full name and contact details, your full name and contact details, and state clearly in as much detail as possible why you think they deserve the award.
If you have any problem in nominating, please phone 01924 375111 and speak to Mark Bradley or leave a message.

The Wakefield District Business Awards will be held on Tuesday 26th June 2012 at the Cedar Court Hotel, Denby Dale Road, Wakefield. BBC Look North presenter Clare Frisby will be there to host the glittering occasion.
