Mid Yorkshire Chamber joins up with UKTI Yorkshire to host an introduction to exporting.
In the context of a stagnant UK domestic economy and depressed consumer spending exports have been mooted as a key area of potential for British economic growth. This has featured as a key policy priority for the Government who have repeatedly stated the need for a restructuring of the British economy, from domestic consumption to exports. Indeed, the Chambers of Commerce network believe International Trade is an essential aspect of Britain’s recovery, and have repeatedly pressed Government to support British exporters.
On 20th March Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and UKTI Yorkshire will host a workshop titled Are You Ready to Export, providing a comprehensive introduction to international trade for businesses in Mid Yorkshire. Are You Ready to Export will review the steps you need to take to consider exporting. It will challenge your perceptions of exporting and outline both the benefits and potential pitfalls as well as provide you the opportunity to review your business and its ability to take advantage of export markets, outlining the resources and commitment required.
Further information on the resources available to help companies put together a successful export strategy and potential funding towards export marketing activity will be made available.
Aimed at companies that are looking to take the next step in their growth plans and develop international markets - but have so far had little or no experience of exporting. Whether you’re a new start up business wanting to look overseas straight-away or a well established company that has saturated the UK market, this event is for you.
