The UK’s exclusive partner with world-wide market leader, Rosenbauer, for supplying aerial fire trucks and fire fighting equipment has been named business of the month in a local competition.
Holmfirth-based, North Fire Limited, supply fire fighting equipment to 80 per cent of the UK and Ireland’s fire brigades and have recently become the official sales agent for Rosenbauer’s aerial fire fighting vehicles.
The firm was established in 2008 by Oliver North who started his career in the Army as a Physical Training Instructor in the Royal Engineers.
After seven successful years he left to pursue a career in business and used his brief stint as a firefighter in 2002 as a springboard to move into the industry.
In conjunction with Rosenbauer, the firm have also developed new innovative flood defence equipment, which they supply to local fire brigades.
North Fire Managing Director, Oliver North, said: “For a company in it’s relative infancy to receive such positive recognition in light of the last 2 and a half year’s hard work, is not only flattering but enthusing to all our staff who have made such a large effort and contribution in this time.
“As we strive for elite status and recognition within our niche market in the UK Fire & Rescue Services, I am personally elated to be judged as business of the month by such a high calibre of business personnel in charge of some of Huddersfield’s most professional organisations.
“It gives all of us at North Fire a nice morale boost in the process so we can maintain our objective to be the UK’s biggest and most efficient fire and rescue service supplier in conjunction with our world class partners, Rosenbauer International.”
The Business of the Month Award is run in association with Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and Business Link. It is open to firms in Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield.
