Are you Content with your content?

The importance of having a web content strategy

The ‘brochure’ website is dead. It’s no longer good enough to have a static website that simply describes your products and services. A website is one of the most powerful marketing tools that a business has at its disposal; failure to maximise its potential is an opportunity missed. But do you have to be a technical genius or have unlimited funds to do so? Not necessarily. One of the best ways to create a successful website is by populating it with fantastic content, and that is something that you can do yourself.

Great content ticks many boxes – a better, added value experience for visitors, better search engine performance, a demonstration of expertise and credibility, humanisation of your business, brand communication and an opportunity to interact with customers. So, do you have a web content strategy?

Learn what makes great content and how to create it - free seminar

On 4th September 2012 Sarah Ainslie, a freelance marketing and copy writing expert, will be running a seminar for Chamber members as part of our 60 Useful Minutes programme.

During the interactive seminar, which is free to attend, you will learn what makes great content, how you can generate ideas for content that are relevant to your business and how to create and use it across online platforms, not just your own website.

As well as sharing tips for writing copy to a high standard, Sarah will be showing you how to incorporate search engine optimisation; hands on skills that you can apply to page copy, blogs and social media.

This event is free to attend and a light breakfast is provided. To reserve your place book online or contact Tracy Smith on 01924 311607 or email
