Understanding and Preventing Insider Threats within your organisation
Cyber Security Briefings:
From March 2019, Yorkshire based Cyber Security Awareness Training provider Bob’s Business will be hosting a series of entry-level events to help raise awareness and educate regional businesses on how to identify and prevent the rise of cyber security threats.
The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport's 'Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2017' reported that just under half (46%) of all businesses identified at least one cyber security breach or attack in the last 12 months, costing small businesses on average £3,100 as a result of a breach.
But what does cyber security really mean? Why does it matter? Who is actually responsible? What threats does it pose to your business?
The briefings are aimed at all small businesses within the Yorkshire region who are wanting to improve cyber resilience and find out more about how to tackle growing cyber threats.
The initial schedule consists of 4 cyber security briefings taking place at the Digital Media Centre, Barnsley, with topics including Insider Threats, Phishing Fundamentals, User Awareness, and Cyber Essentials.
Insider threats refers to the people within your business whether its employees, contractors or business associates who have inside information relating to your security practices, data and computer systems.
The human factor is a pivotal part of your strategy for protecting your business and should definitely not be ignored. Come along to the first ever Cyber Security Briefing to find out more about identifying your businesses insider threats and how you can mitigate this growing concern.
