You Shall Go to the Ball!
This year, Wakefield Civic Society are off to the Theatre for their annual dinner! And with this year’s panto at the Theatre being Cinderella, you can expect to find more than just a passing reference to Cinders and possibly her fairy godmother. So, with party frocks out and Buttons polished (ooh err missus), dig out those glass slippers and book your carriage.
Demand will be high and spaces are limited, so book your tickets today! Dinner will be served at 7.30 pm with doors opening at 7.00 pm.
There will be a cash bar and guests will be able to purchase drinks to accompany their meal on arrival. As there is no show on at the Theatre that evening, you will have exclusive use of the bar area
If you are able to donate prizes for the games or the silent auction, please let the Society know.
Rather than having a guest speaker, there will be repeat of ‘Games Night’ which has proved so popular and successful in recent years. Therefore, there will be a request for people on the night to buy envelopes (at £5 each) which will give access to a variety of games and opportunities to win prizes. Also on offer will be a number of items in a ‘silent auction’, all with the intention of raising some additional funds for the Society while having a fun-packed and enjoyable evening. There will, of course, be the round-up of news and views about what is going on in the Society and an opportunity to meet up with fellow members and guests.
