1 Day Appointed Person First Aid Course that is valid for three years

This is a highly participative training course delivered by first aid practitioners with many years experience in this highly specialised field.  It is targeted at companies where a qualified first aider is not required, but there must be an "appointed person" to satisfy the needs of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981

Course Contents:

 Principles and practice of first aid
 Responsibilities of the First Aider
 Reporting and recording  including hygiene procedures
 Open airway
 Treatment of conscious and unconscious casualty
 Resusciation to include new guidelines
 Treatment of choking/asphyxia / hypoxia
 Treatment of clinical shock (bleeding and bandages)
 Treatment of burns and scalds and eye injuries
 Injuries to bones and muscles and spinal injuries
 Treatment of head injuries, concussion and compression
 Treatment of crush injuries and amputations
 Medical conditions
 Recap on key points, feed back to students
