First Aid

Mandatory First Aid Courses

The Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to enable first aid to be given to employees if they are injured or become ill at work.

These Regulations apply to all work places including those with five or fewer employees and to the self-employed.  In the event of an emergency, it is vital that you have people on hand who know the correct first aid procedures to follow and, more importantly, know exactly what to do in a crisis situation.

How can the Chamber help?

We are a Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved training centre, with 20 years track record of running highly successful First Aid courses for Chamber members and other companies throughout Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. We are Kirklees Council's main provider for First Aid training and have trained more than a thousand council employees as part of this valued relationship.
