• The treatment of the unconscious child

• Resuscitation

• Control of bleeding

• Clinical shock

• Electrical shock

• Burns

• Poisoning

• Objects in eyes, ears and nose

• Choking

• Extremes of temperatures

• Infection control

• Injuries to bones, joints and ligaments

• First aid box contents and use

• Record keeping and simple documentation including existing injuries

• Administration of medicines
