Andrew Choi – Executive Director

Andrew arrived to head up Chamber operations in 2008 and joined the Board in 2010.  With a background in general management, change management and HRD, he led the Investors in People initiative in Bradford until 2002 before being appointed to a number of senior business support positions in the region.  His entrepreneurial instincts and work ethic stem from looking after his father's Chinese laundry whilst studying and he puts his drive and determination down entirely to this experience.

Away from work, Andrew wouldn't be without his iPod and sound dock whilst his other interests include sport, sport and more sport.

Steven Leigh – Head of Policy and Representation

Steve has an impeccable track record in commerce and industry.  Working at plc board level, he has extensive UK and global experience across a number of sectors with particular expertise in oil and gas.  He draws extensively on his vast experience to head up the Chamber's policy and representation work, adding leadership and insight to the views of member companies and being forthright in his determination to "tell it like it is".  He is highly networked, well respected and ideally placed to take our lobbying positions forward.

In his spare time, Steve is an avid golfer, sports fanatic and family man.

Tracy Smith – Membership and Events Manager

Tracy joined the Chamber in April 2008, as Membership and Events Manager.  She began her management career in tourism and leisure and has a proven track record in business support following successful spells with Wakefield Training and Enterprise Council and Business Link West Yorkshire.  Tracy is an experienced team leader with strong organisational skills.

Tracy enjoys keep-fit, running, the occasional red wine and also loves celebrity mags.

Kathryn Shuttleworth – Membership and Marketing Manager

Kathryn joined the Mid Yorkshire Chamber in October 2009, as Membership and Marketing Manager.  Graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University with a BA (hons) Marketing degree, and having extensive experience of working in a Sales and Marketing environment, Kathryn joined to fulfil her career aspirations.

Kathryn loves a nice cup of coffee alongside her busy work schedule.

Anthony Finney – Accounts Manager

Jan Jevons – Childcare Vouchers Co-Ordinator

Jan joined the Chamber Childcare team in September 2008 having previously spent two years with the Chamber's Customer Service/Events and Membership department. Prior to her role as a stay at home Mum and domestic goddess, she spent ten years as a civil servant in Durham and Leeds.

In her spare time she enjoys live music and is a 'rock chick' at heart.

Jo Palmer – Certification Services Manager

Joann joined the Chamber in 2008 and has recently been appointed to head up the Certification Services department working closely with member companies involved in international trade and logistics.   Jo has extensive customer service experience having begun her career in the banking sector and followed that up more recently with a successful period working on the grant assistance and EU funding side of business support.

Jo loves spending time with her daughter and taking a magazine break from the mayhem.

Hayley Nutt – Certification Services National Apprentice

Hayley started at the Chamber in August 2010 after completing Business Administration qualifications as part of her career development.  Degree qualified, with an Art & Design background, she is currently undertaking a national apprenticeship through Kirklees College and her export certification qualification through the British Chambers of Commerce.

Outside of work, Hayley enjoys travelling, going to the gym, curling up with a good book or spending an evening in with a decent film and good company.

Pam King – Administrator

Pam began working for the Training Department of The Chamber in March 2002.

Before that she worked in different office roles for 16 years from leaving school to starting a family. She then took a break for several years before joining the Chamber.

Pam loves music, handicrafts and socialising with friends..

Barry Firth – Health and Safety Training Co-Coordinator

Barry joined MY Training in July 2008, and has over 10 years experience teaching Health and Safety.

Barry is also a qualified Chemist, an IOSH member and holds; the NEBOSH National Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, the IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management, certificates of competence in Workplace Noise Assessment (IoA), Fire Risk Assessment (BSC) and a Professional Trainer Certificate (CIEH).

In his spare time, Barry enjoys dancing, music, gardening, reading, holidays, wining, dining and his grandchildren.

Brendan Coleman – First Aid Training Co-Coordinator

Brendan joined MY Training over 5 years ago and has 9 years experience in the Armed Forces, as well as 10 years experience in the Ambulance Service as a Medical Technician.

Recently Brendan attended University for 2 years and passed his Certificate of Higher Learning. He is also qualified in the Administration of AEDs.

Brendan's hobbies include music, sport and also enjoys telling jokes to lighten the mood.

West Yorkshire Enterprise Agency

Paul Shelton – Enterprise Programme Manager

Paul Shelton is the Enterprise Programme Manager for the West Yorkshire Enterprise Agency part of the Enterprise arm of the Chamber.  Paul has spent over 10 years within the public sector and business support networks working with and along side the Chamber for many years. His career background is in Retail, Customer Service and Training.

Emma Kilduff - Contract Co-Ordinator

Emma started work as Projects Manager for the West Yorkshire Enterprise Agency in April 08, and now manages the Kickstart workshops. Before working for West Yorkshire Enterprise Agency, Emma worked for HM Revenue & Customs, Leeds City Council and Business Link.

Emma Graduated from Liverpool University in 1997 with a degree in Psychology & Sociology and is married to Glen and has a beautiful daughter called Grace.

She has no exciting hobbies other than enjoying spending time with her family and friends, going out eating/drinking or relaxing at home with a few glasses of wine.

Keith Gomersall - Loan Fund Adviser

Keith joined the West Yorkshire Enterprise Agency in May 2006 as Loan Fund Co-ordinator.

Keith was educated in Bradford and Shipley at Salts Grammar School, to A level qualification. He then spent 35 years mainly in lending roles in Bradford, London, Leeds and Huddersfield, this included 5 years dealing with business start up requests. During this time Keith qualified as an ACIB (Associate of the Institute of Bankers).

Keith's main interests are his grandchildren, Leeds United and driving his long awaited X Type Jag.
